Acts 2:46–47 (NKJV) - So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.
The remarkable growth of the early Church started from its humble beginning. Then, there were no church buildings dedicated for the use of worship. The followers of "The Way" met in the villas of more affluent believers, where they prayed, broke break, fellowshipped, and listened to the apostles teach.
2000 later, there are currently more than 1 billion Christians (in aggregate) around the world. It would be a mistake, to cease and jettison our Christian calling, vocation or be distracted by the ubiquity of materialism and consumerism to name a few. Christians must see through and beyond the veil of temporariness and embrace that which is eternal then understand temporariness from an eternal standpoint.
With a new impetus, a new understanding of the need for Christian culture, evangelism and discipleship must be taken seriously by every believer to perpetuate, continue and create a Christian culture.
Allow me to underscore the importance of the re-strengthening and the building of a Christian home where Christian values are instilled in and germinates in hearts and minds of the next generation.
